We have been supporting non-profits, government, and community organizations since 2015, and we love what we do. Each project we work on is unique and has a direct impact on the businesses, residents, and communities we serve. Project Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an organized, collaborative, and humble professional with a passion for communities who is eager to work on select community, economic, and workforce development projects. This team member will work closely with our entire staff and play an important role in developing, managing, executing, and delivering work on a range of projects, eventually leading to co-leading and managing projects on their own. 

The range of activities in our work requires a project manager that is able to priotitize multiple deadlines and deliverables, and also interact and engage (in person and virtual) with clients, government agencies, businesses, residents, and other stakeholders across a wide range of perspectives and experiences.

The team at Perch Advisors all wear many hats and pitch in across projects as needed. Our newest team member is fearless, curious, eager to learn, and feels as comfortable on the street producing neighborhood events as they do talking to clients in a Zoom room. Our team is excited to welcome a new member to guide and mentor through our work.

Qualifications + Experience: 

  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders across a broad range of projects, including C suite level executives

  • Understanding of and experience with equitable community engagement, including leading community discussions and events

  • Experience with city, state, and federal funding, budgets, and contract administration

  • Understanding of the NYC non profit, government, and neighborhood landscape 

  • Prior experience launching and leading projects/programs in one of the following areas: workforce development (preferred), small business programs and business services, community development, Business Improvement Districts, community lending, and similar related fields

  • MS Office (Excel and Powerpoint), Google Suite, CRM/database management such as Salesforce/Sharepoint, Constant Contact, familiarity with project management applications like Trello, Monday, Asana

  • Design software including InDesign. Adobe, Canva or similar 

  • Comfort with and a willingness to learn more about web platforms like squarespace and wordpress 

  • Excellent writing and editing skills 

  • Experience writing grant applications

  • Experience both leading and collaborating on multiple projects 

  • Outgoing, thoughtful, resourceful, humble, engaging
